How it works

How our quote and install process works

Getting a cover built should be clear from the first phone call to the last screw. We handle every step with our own people, so you always know who you are dealing with. Here is exactly how it goes.

Installed aluminium patio cover at a South African home

We are not a call centre, and we do not sub out the work. The person who measures your space, the workshop that builds the cover and the team that fits it all belong to the same family firm. That is how we keep quality and answers in one place. Here is each step of the way.

Step one: your enquiry

It starts with a message or a call. Tell us what you have in mind, whether it is a patio cover, a louvre roof or shade around the pool, and roughly where on the property it needs to go. There is no cost and no pressure at this stage. If you are still weighing up options, browse our louvre awnings, fixed IBR covers and folding arm awnings first to get a feel for what suits.

Step two: a free on-site consultation

One of our own consultants comes to you, at no charge. Seeing the space in person is the only way to get it right, so we measure up, look at how the sun and wind hit the area, check the surfaces we will fix to and talk through the options that suit your home and budget. This is also the moment to raise anything you are unsure about, from colour to whether you want an adjustable or fixed roof.

Step three: your written quote

After the visit, we put everything in writing. The quote sets out what we recommend, the finish and colour, and a firm price for the project, so there are no surprises later. Because every cover is engineered to its own span and site, we quote per project rather than off a price list. Take your time with it. We are happy to adjust the spec if you want to compare options.

Step four: manufacture in our own workshop

Once you approve the quote, your cover is made to your measurements in our own workshop. Building it ourselves, rather than ordering in a kit, means we control the quality and the fit. Your aluminium is finished in one of 23 baked-in colours, so it arrives ready to match the house.

Step five: installation by our own team

Our installers, not a subcontractor, fit the cover on site. They set it level, secure it properly to the structure, sort out drainage and clean up after themselves. If your cover is motorised or has drop blinds or a patio ceiling, they set those up and show you how everything works before they leave.

Step six: your guarantee

Every completed job is backed by a 10-year guarantee on materials and a year on workmanship. As a family firm running since 1988 with branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and the Southern Cape, we are still around if you ever need us, which is the whole point of dealing with the people who did the work.

Good to know

Our process: common questions

Is the site visit really free?

Yes. One of our own consultants comes to measure and advise at no charge and no obligation. It is the only way to give you an accurate quote.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Our own consultants measure, our own workshop manufactures and our own team installs. You deal with the same family firm from start to finish.

Why do you quote per project instead of a price list?

Every cover is engineered to its own span, site and finish, so a list price would mislead. We give you a firm written quote for your project after the site visit.

What backs the finished work?

A 10-year guarantee on materials and a year on workmanship. As a family firm running since 1988 with four branches, we are still here if you need us afterwards.
